Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Hostigo Client Portal. Once enabled by Hostigo, 2FA is mandatory — you will not be able to access or use the Client Area without completing the 2FA verification.
1. What is Two-Factor Authentication?
Two-Factor Authentication requires you to enter a one-time security code in addition to your password. This code is generated by an authenticator app on your phone, making it much harder for anyone else to access your account.
2. 2FA is Mandatory
Hostigo enforces 2FA for all Client Portal users. Once it is enabled on your account, you must complete 2FA every time you log in.
If you do not complete the 2FA step, you will not be able to view invoices, manage services, or interact with the Client Area.
3. How 2FA is Activated
When 2FA is enabled on your account, you will be asked to set it up the next time you log in. This includes scanning a QR code with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
4. Completing the Setup
After scanning the QR code, your authenticator app will generate a 6-digit code. Enter this code to confirm and activate 2FA on your account.
Once confirmed, 2FA will be required for every login going forward.
5. Logging in with 2FA
When you log in, you will enter your email and password as normal. You will then be prompted for your 2FA code from your authenticator app before you can access your account.
Important
If you lose access to your authenticator app, you must contact Hostigo support to verify your identity and regain access. For security reasons, 2FA cannot be bypassed.
