After purchasing hosting from Hostigo, everything you need to start building your website is created automatically. This guide explains what happens next and how to get online quickly.
1. Your Hosting Account Is Created
Once your payment is successful, Hostigo sets up your hosting account on our servers. This includes your control panel (cPanel), storage space, and server access.
2. You Receive Your Login Details
You will receive an email with your:
- Hosting username
- Password
- cPanel login link
- Nameservers
These details allow you to manage your website, email, and domains.
3. Your Domain Is Connected
If you bought your domain from Hostigo, it is connected automatically. If your domain is registered elsewhere, you must point it to Hostigo’s nameservers.
4. Your Website Space Is Ready
Your hosting account includes space to store your website files, images, and databases. You can upload files using cPanel or install a website platform like WordPress.
5. Install Your Website
Most customers use WordPress. You can install it with one click from cPanel using the installer.
6. Set Up Your Email
You can create email addresses such as info@yourdomain.co.za inside cPanel.
7. Your Site Goes Live
Once your domain points to Hostigo and your website files are in place, your website becomes accessible to the public.
