After purchasing hosting, your Hostigo account is ready to use. This checklist will help you get everything set up correctly the first time you log in.
1. Log Into the Client Area
- ✔ Go to the Hostigo Client Area
- ✔ Log in using the email and password you received
- ✔ Confirm your services are active
2. Open Your Hosting Control Panel (cPanel)
- ✔ Click on your hosting service
- ✔ Click Login to cPanel
- ✔ Verify you can access your hosting dashboard
3. Check Your Domain Connection
- ✔ Confirm your domain is listed
- ✔ Check that it points to Hostigo’s nameservers
- ✔ If needed, update nameservers at your domain registrar
4. Create Your Email Accounts
- ✔ Go to Email Accounts in cPanel
- ✔ Create addresses like info@yourdomain.co.za
- ✔ Set strong passwords
5. Install WordPress (Optional)
- ✔ Open the WordPress installer in cPanel
- ✔ Choose your domain
- ✔ Click install
6. Secure Your Website
- ✔ Enable SSL
- ✔ Update WordPress and plugins
- ✔ Use strong passwords
